The new Samsung Galaxy A21s brings in a number of attractive features at an affordable price that include a 48MP quad-rear camera setup and a huge 5,000mAh battery capacity.
Design And Display
The new Galaxy A21s looks quite similar to other Samsung budget mid-range smartphones. The body is large with a curved back that features a sleek glossy finish.
At the back, you’ll notice an L-shaped quad-rear camera setup of 48MP f/2.0 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle lens, 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. On the front, it has a 13 MP f/2.2 camera on the punch-hole display. The device is fueled by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging technology.
The Galaxy A21s is equipped with an LCD instead of an AMOLED display like we see on most Samsung smartphones and it only has 720p resolution. Nonetheless, the display quality is decent enough despite the absence of an AMOLED display. It measures 6.5 inch Infinity-O display complete with a small punch hole in the top-left corner of the screen for the 13MP selfie camera.
Moreover, this device is powered by a 2.0GHz 8nm Exynos 850 octa-core processor with Mali-G52 GPU paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. The phone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB.
Aside from the Samsung Galaxy A21s handset, the box contains a sim ejector tool, a USB Type-C power cable and the standard 15 watts Samsung fast charging travel adapter. But, unlike other Samsung A series smartphones, it does not include a clear case with the Galaxy A21s.
The Galaxy A21s also does not come with any earphones in the box, so you’re left with just the phone’s speaker unless you have your own headphones.
The Galaxy A21s is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, which should last you a full day of moderate to heavy usage. It also supports 15W fast charging via USB-C port, and the battery goes from 0 to 100 in a little over two hours.
I was able to watch over 8 hours of video content with the volume level to the highest and brightness level set to its maximum. I was even able to play games like PUBG for almost an hour before the battery dropped to zero percent.
The Galaxy A21s has an L-shaped quad-rear camera setup of 48MP f/2.0 main camera, an 8MP f/2.0 ultra-wide lens, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. For selfies, it has a 13MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture lens. It also supports various camera features such as a LED flash, digital zoom of up to 8x, full HD+ video recording, deco pic that captures photos or videos with various stickers, food mode, panorama, and more.
Here are some sample photos I took using Samsung Galaxy A21s:
Overall, the Galaxy A21s is a good budget mid-range smartphone. If you are looking for an affordable smartphone device with a long-lasting battery life, then, the Samsung Galaxy A21s is a great choice.
